Iconostasis

The ‘iconostasis’ that leads to the altar has a transparency to it, for we see icons as ‘windows to heaven’, showing that in Christ we ‘have access by faith into this Grace in which we stand’ (Romans 5).

Saturday, August 26th
  • Great Vespers
    5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    An evening prayer service full of psalms and hymns of worship as we begin the Lord’s Day.

Sunday, August 27th
  • Orthros
    8:30 am - 9:30 am

    The morning prayer service of the Orthodox Church. The Psalms are the basis of this service, interwoven with the great theology of the Church surrounding the people and events all through the history of God's people.

  • Divine Liturgy
    9:30 am - 11:00 am

    This central act of the Church’s worship is nothing less than a participation of the Body of Christ in “the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit”

Monday, August 28th
  • Vesperal Divine Liturgy for St John the Baptist
    6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

    A non-fasting meal will follow with iconographer Camille Rahhal.
